There are many reasons why I love shopping in TK Maxx, the main one being that I always find what I need. Even when I don't know I need it.
Although beauty begins within, it's vital to take care of the outsides too, and recognise when you need to make small changes to your regime based on the changing seasons and weather.
A couple of weeks ago my skin began getting dry, and spotty. This was partly due to a change in diet, as I've been eating a bit more dairy and wheat than I was during the summer, but it's also related to the cooler weather and change of season which seems to have all but spring upon us.
I get quite upset when my skin is anything but flawless, and did my best to do my mirror process a bit longer each morning. Although I started seeing my self a bit more clearly, there wasn't a marked improvement in my skin.
I was having a mooch in TK Maxx while waiting to meet a friend, and came across this range of Red Tea products. They are high moisturising, and made from ingredients from Africa.
Since I'm half Nigerian, and was born there it's good for me to use and eat products that are from my native country. I read this in a natural health book a few years ago. Apparently it keeps you stronger if you have minerals from the land your ancestors are from. Therefore I do my best to follow this when the option is available.
Plus they were on the discounted shelf, so I got the facial moisturiser, face mask and cleanser. All of which I have been using for just over a week, and my skin quality has already improved. Not just how it looks but the texture of it too.
Before coming across these products it hadn't even occurred to me to change the products I was using in line with the change in season. Now it makes sense. With the wind and cold my skin needs a deeper moisturiser.
today I found a light facial exfoliator, which is something I often forget to buy. I give myself another week, and my skin will back to its glorious glowing state.
As you can see, the origanal price of the face scrub indicates its a very nice quality item, and I'm excited to see how it helps my skin.
Lastly, I found a lush argan body oil, which I will use in conjunction with the face and body lotions I use. My skin is getting some real treats.
Self care is let to transitioning through any period of change. Autumn is for many, particularly those living in the flow, a time for harvesting the seeds of change we have planted and cultivated throughout the year.
These seeds can be emotional, physical, career, spiritual, about our home, they apply to every area of our lives.
When we plant positive seeds, and cultivate out dreams with optimism and hope, the harvest will be abundant and fruitful.
It can be a frustrating time, when sometimes the things we harvest don't necessarily look as we had expected, things don't quite turn out as we'd hoped. Thing is, we always get what we need for our growth, and everything is a direct manifestation of what we want thanks to the law of attraction.
There have also been some huge spiritual/energetic shifts in the universe, which impact our physical and emotional beings. Be super gentle with yourself as you navigate these times. Recognise when you need time for yourself, and do your best to ask for a hug when you need one. Especially when it feels hardest.
Breathe deeper.
Drink more water (preferably filtered).
Plan fun into your daily routine.
Hug for longer.
Smile at a starter every day.
Do something kind for someone else.
Embrace what is.
Everything is exactly as it is mean to be.
Nothing before it's time.
Have faith that all is going to be alright. Beaue the truth is, it already is.
